Core BTS accepted two notable awards at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference on July 21, 2009. Both categories featured submissions that were competitive and innovative, with Core’s solutions taking the top prize in each.
The Microsoft Partner Program Awards recognize Microsoft Partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the past year.
The first award, presented to Inacom Information Systems (now part of Core BTS), recognized Inacom’s Click2Chat solution as the winner in the Customer Experience category for the Midwest Area. This award recognizes a partner who has provided consistently exceptional customer satisfaction. Inacom’s own Madison-based Enterprise Architecture team architected and developed the solution, which enables companies to instantly and easily engage in web-based chat with their customers in real time over a Microsoft OCS-based platform.
“We developed Click2Chat after learning more about how our customers saw the future of communicating with their clients,” said Nicholas Morris, Division Vice President of Enterprise Architecture with Inacom and chief architect of the solution. “What we created is exactly what they asked for – an instant, web-based, easy-to-use platform that was both technologically exciting and user-friendly.”
The second award was presented to Core BTS for the Small Business Transformation category for the Heartland Area. This award recognizes how a partner has changed a small business customer’s business by leveraging technology to address their business challenges. Core was recognized for its outstanding work with an HVAC company migrating Lotus Notes to Microsoft Exchange Server with an ROI of 40%.
“We truly appreciate your dedication, passion, hard work, and willingness to take on difficult challenges. Efforts such as yours are deeply appreciated by the senior executive staff at Microsoft,” stated Mark Kornegay, Central Region General Manager of Microsoft Corporation. “Microsoft places a strong emphasis on the worth of our partners and, as a company, we want to highlight their commitment of delivering solutions and applications to customers. The exceptional performance, tremendous contributions and outstanding achievements of our partners should be recognized over the past year.”
“Core has maintained a strong relationship with Microsoft and is honored to accept awards that not only recognize our efforts, but illustrate the benefit to our customers,” said Don Eckrod, CEO of Core BTS. “Our business is all about finding ways to help improve the customer experience, and both of these awards recognize the fact that we have successfully done so in 2009. It is so exciting to see the transformation of a business in your own backyard and know that you had a hand in helping them go from good to great.”
“The Customer Experience award means a great deal, and it is exhilarating to see a solution like Click2Chat – which was organically created, architected, and developed by Inacom employees – establish itself as its own brand and provide the type of customer experience we always try to achieve,” added Frank Albi, COO of Core BTS and President of Inacom. “Clearly both companies [Inacom and Core] created unique and valuable solutions, and we anticipate greater things to come in the future as we continue to collaborate as one entity.”
