Walter J. Cook II
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Cook is an actively-engaged CEO, who draws on his over 20 years of leadership experience in the technology industry to define Core’s strategic mission and vision. Prior to co-founding Core in 2004, Mr. Cook served in leadership roles at Vytek Wireless Corporation, GE Capital Information Technology Solutions, Inc., and AmeriData Technologies.
Outside of Core, Mr. Cook is a devoted husband and father of two, and enjoys watching his children play soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse. As a family, the Cooks enjoy spending their weekends together skiing and boating.
Mr. Cook holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Marist College.
Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Services
As Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Services, Mr. Wilshire leads Core’s internal technology strategy and Core Learning division, as well as oversees all professional services and customer delivery. Through these organizations, Mr. Wilshire is focused on identifying, designing and delivering holistic solutions to customers. Under his leadership, Core has developed a strategic Envision, Execute, Enable approach to accomplish this purpose across all major verticals. This approach, coupled with Mr. Wilshire’s “push for perfection” leadership style, is what creates a rewarding experience for customers.
Mr. Wilshire holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from West Point and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Additionally, he achieved his Executive Education Certificate from Babson College and has held multiple leadership roles across the technology industry.
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Mr. Zerbe brings extensive experience and leadership from nearly 30 years in the Information Technology industry. Mark has led several organizations through extended periods of growth both organically and via acquisition. Prior to joining Core in 2016, Mark served as President of Dimension Data for the Americas Region. Mr. Zerbe has participated on multiple industry boards and advisory councils and is known for the intense focus, energy, and passion he brings to every team he serves.
Mark is married with two children. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Sciences from The University of Texas.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel
As Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Mr. Eickmann oversees Core’s legal and compliance initiatives, in addition to leading the human resources organization. Mr. Eickmann has served as General Counsel for Core Business Technology Solutions, LLC since 2004, and was appointed by the board to the positions of Senior Vice President and Secretary subsequent to Core’s acquisition by Convergence Technologies, Inc., (CTi). Additionally, he has worked in sales and management roles in the technology industry since 1995. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University. Mr. Eickmann is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana and in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, John Coughlan leads the Accounting and Financial Planning teams in support of Core’s strategic objectives. John brings to Core over 20 years of experience and expertise in capital raising, financial reporting and budgeting, and accounting in a blend of software, technology services, and private equity.
Prior to joining Core BTS, John served as the CFO of Penthera Partners for over six years, a software business catering to some of the largest cable companies and content providers in the world. Before that, John was the Vice President, Finance and Treasurer at Insight Communications. During his time there, he led all finance functions for the $1 billion revenue, Carlyle-backed cable operator prior to their $3 billion sale to Time Warner Cable. John was also an investment banker at Morgan Stanley focusing on the Media, Telcom, and Leveraged Finance.
He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago in addition to an economics degree from Wesleyan University.
